I'm having a scentsy open party

Post 1 by DevilishAnthony (Just go on and agree with me. You know you want to.) on Monday, 03-Feb-2014 10:15:07

Hey there, Gang. I recently started using Scentsy products. They’re most known for their wickless flameless candle wax cubes, but they have other things as well, such as room sprays, shower gell, lotion, boddy butter, perfume, hand soap and scent packs that you can put in a gym bag or closet. This month, they’re offering 10 percent off on everything in the shop, since they’re selling the winter stuff off in order to get ready for the spring and summer collection. I thought about just rushing out and becoming a consultant, but the lady that I bought from advised me to have a party first, so I could get better acquainted with the products, and to see how well I did at promoting. The party started late last month and will last for 3 months. They ship to the US and Canada. I hate that it’s not available to those in the UK and other places. I’ll paste the link here, so Y’all can check it out if you’d like.
#Scentsy #SALE Everything 10% off for February! Just remember to pick my open party at checkout.

These are interesting. I'll be back to see if I want any of them.

I'm not into this sort of thing, but I wish you the best in finding people who are.

Post 9 by SilverLightning (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Wednesday, 05-Feb-2014 20:29:11

I'll compile a list for you and send it in a private message Anthony. Thanks for the list.

Post 10 by DevilishAnthony (Just go on and agree with me. You know you want to.) on Wednesday, 05-Feb-2014 21:10:36

Hope you find lots of stuff you like. Just go to the site to order. Also, there's a specials page, so you can save a bit of money. My favorite is the combine and save offer, where you get 6 fragrance bars for the price of 5. you build your pack and then add it to your shopping cart. The site is a bit tricky, but if you're comfortable with moving by headings, it'll be much easier for you.

Post 11 by UniqueOne (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Friday, 07-Feb-2014 22:07:15

Thanks for the site! I'll be sure to check it out. Do they have actual candles though? I'm just not a fan of flameless wickless stuff. I will check it out and I'm good with moving with headings. Thanks!

Post 12 by DevilishAnthony (Just go on and agree with me. You know you want to.) on Saturday, 08-Feb-2014 0:35:27

No, they don't. Sorry. I used to use candles all the time, but now that I've found these burners and the wax cubes, I'm hooked. It's easier for me. It works similar to a night light, but it gets hotter than that. The dish holding the wax sits above the bulb, so it melts the wax without the bulb actually touching the dish. They have the elements burners as well. these use an internal element to heat the wax, much like a little tiny crock pot.

Post 13 by UniqueOne (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Saturday, 08-Feb-2014 21:28:44

I did look at the site. the one thing that confused me is the warmers. what one to get? Are they included with the bars? I'm assuming you just switch it off instead of blowing it out lol..

Post 14 by DevilishAnthony (Just go on and agree with me. You know you want to.) on Sunday, 09-Feb-2014 19:28:52

You have to order the warmer separately, but once you've got the warmer, it can last for years. The bulbs are replaceable. I was confused at first as well. I ended up getting a full-sized tabletop warmer, the shevron blue premium one. It has a wheel switch on the cord to turn the unit on and off. The plugin warmers are very small, not quite as powerful, and they plug straight in to your wall outlet.

Post 17 by DevilishAnthony (Just go on and agree with me. You know you want to.) on Friday, 28-Feb-2014 17:19:46

Just want to remind Y'all that my party is still going. Today is the last day of the 10 percent discount. Tomorrow starts the spring and summer lineup. I'll post more when the new catalog comes out.

Post 18 by Westcoastcdngrl (move over school!) on Friday, 28-Feb-2014 17:28:49

Sadly, this sort of stuff tends to trigger migraines.

Sorry...

Post 19 by Meglet (I just keep on posting!) on Friday, 28-Feb-2014 21:02:51

They certainly can, as with any strong scent whether it be perfume, a scented candle, or scentsy products. I suffer from some pretty severe migraines though and scentsy doesn't bother me at all. I'd love to help you out Anthony, but I buy too much of the stuff as it is. Maybe when I run out of my current stock. Best of luck!

Post 20 by Shadow_Cat (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Sunday, 02-Mar-2014 3:10:49

I know the Yankee candle wax cubes I got for my warmer trigger my migraines, but not sure if Scentsy would. i'll check this out, Anthony. Would love to help you out, and get some cool scents too. I also may buy one of these for a friend of mine.

Post 21 by Meglet (I just keep on posting!) on Monday, 03-Mar-2014 3:03:38

Ah, maybe be really careful, Alicia. I've tried the Yankee Tarts and they are a bit more powerful than Scentsy; I found that the Yankee stuff made my headaches worse, so Scentsy may have the same effect on you. I'd try just getting a few at first and if they don't bother you, you can go crazy.

Post 22 by Smiling Sunshine (I've now got the bronze prolific poster award! now going for the silver award!) on Tuesday, 04-Mar-2014 7:52:23

Oh, I love Scentsy. I used to sell it so I wish you the best of luck. If you're sensitive, try White Tea and Cactus; it's a light fragrance that a friend of mine used to buy because it was easy on her allergies.
I think there's a yahoo grou of Scentsy Consultants who are blind or VI, as well.
BEst of luck to ya.

Post 23 by Shadow_Cat (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Tuesday, 04-Mar-2014 20:11:01

Thanks, Meglet. Yes, the Yankee stuff is too powerful and does make my headaches worse. I will get a very few Scentsy bricks, and test that. DG, thanks for the recommendation! I appreciate it!

Post 24 by Meglet (I just keep on posting!) on Thursday, 06-Mar-2014 4:06:23

Another thing you can do, if a full cube is too much for you, is cut it in half. You won't fill a house with that, but you can fill a room, and it won't be near as powerful. The cubes cut pretty nicely whereas I find the Yankee Tarts really don't.

Post 25 by forereel (Just posting.) on Friday, 07-Mar-2014 17:28:46

I don't like things in my room, they tend to make me stuffy, but the laundry stuff is great, so I ordered some. I'll order other things as well.
The stuff sounds more like things I'd like to eat though. Lol.
Here is a question. On the laundry liquid, I use a product that makes sure my clothes are clean, no stains and such. Is this product something that can be added to that? I imagine I'd just add maybe a quarter cup for scent, but not wash with it?

Post 26 by DevilishAnthony (Just go on and agree with me. You know you want to.) on Friday, 07-Mar-2014 18:08:41

I'll have to find out for you, Wayne. This is something that I don't know.
To have a less powerful scent, you can always get the smallest burners. They don't get quite as hot, so the fragrance isn't as strong, but they do tend to last a bit longer.

Post 27 by Meglet (I just keep on posting!) on Friday, 07-Mar-2014 20:51:30

Out of curiosity, for those who have already used these products: do you find that the cubes really last as long as Scentsy says they will? I get maybe four to six good hours out of one, but certainly not a couple of days as some have reported. I also have one of the smallest warmers so it should last even longer. Am I crazy?

Post 28 by DevilishAnthony (Just go on and agree with me. You know you want to.) on Friday, 07-Mar-2014 21:32:50

It depends on the scent. also, maybe it's just my imagination, but the two cubes on the very end seem to be weaker than the rest of them.

Post 29 by Meglet (I just keep on posting!) on Saturday, 08-Mar-2014 16:20:08

Hmm...I haven't noticed that. And, yes, it does depend on the scent, to a degree anyway. I'm just wondering if I'm getting my money's worth. I'm considering trying other similar products.

Post 30 by DevilishAnthony (Just go on and agree with me. You know you want to.) on Saturday, 08-Mar-2014 17:00:59

If you can go to Walmart, they have some cubes by Scent sationals and Better Homes and Garden. There's also one called True Living, but I don't recommend them at all. Not only are they messy as hell, but they're weak. But the other brands are good. Try one called Iced Carot cake, or Cinamon spice. They're strong, though... and don't forget to shop my party. lmao I couldn't resist that. I'm havin' a party over here. I shouldn't be promoting other brands on my own party board. XD

Post 31 by forereel (Just posting.) on Saturday, 08-Mar-2014 21:28:03

Plus variety? This company seems to have variety.

Post 32 by Meglet (I just keep on posting!) on Monday, 10-Mar-2014 1:34:13

I'm sorry, Anthony; didn't mean to detract from what you're doing here. I should have been a bit more thoughtful about that. I do love scentsy! Buy scentsy folks! And buy it from Anthony!

Post 33 by forereel (Just posting.) on Monday, 10-Mar-2014 21:05:30

Sales is touch work. You got to deal with the good and the bad. Lol

Post 34 by softy5310 (Fuzzy's best angel) on Tuesday, 11-Mar-2014 17:26:37

I'd really like to sell Scentsy products. Have wanted to for a while. I've looked at them and tried to figure out how to sign up as of late. I know several people who buy them and if I were to sign up, they'd buy them from me. Could I sign up under you, Anthony? if you understand how all the selling works, would you mind dropping me an email and explaining it to me? Some of those scents sound wonderful, by the way. if I sign up under you, I think you'll get a portion of my sales, so that'd work as well.

Take Care,

Dawnielle

Post 35 by DevilishAnthony (Just go on and agree with me. You know you want to.) on Tuesday, 11-Mar-2014 19:59:08

I'm not actually a consultant, so when you go to check out my party, you could always sign up with the consultant that I use. She's good. She lists her cellphone number right on her site, so you can even call her. I was about to just go on and sign up to be a consultant, but she recommended that I have a party first. I'm glad I listened to her. I love scentsy, but I'm not sure that I'm pushy enough to be a true salesman. I'm always worried that I'm spamming people with it.

Post 36 by softy5310 (Fuzzy's best angel) on Monday, 24-Mar-2014 1:51:49

ok, i'll take a look at your party then, thank you. I dont' know if I have a knack for being a salesperson much either, but I know several people who would be interested in buying from me. Plus, the place I work is full of girls and they may be interested, as well.

Thanks Anthony,

Dawnielle

Post 37 by forereel (Just posting.) on Monday, 24-Mar-2014 18:19:23

I received my products, and love to jump in my bed now. It was always clean, but now it smells yummy too.
The shipping causes me a bit or pause, but the products smell wonderful.

Post 38 by DevilishAnthony (Just go on and agree with me. You know you want to.) on Tuesday, 25-Mar-2014 5:45:15

I agree with the gripes about shipping. It's pretty high. If you order 150 bucks worth of stuf, the shipping is free. After this party is over, I might just order once or twice a year and spend the 150 bucks. It's a lot of money, but at least it won't be wasted on shipping. Thanks for buying from my party, Wayne.

Post 39 by forereel (Just posting.) on Tuesday, 25-Mar-2014 11:57:14

Sure, 150 is good, but I don't think I have that large of a list. You are right, I should get as much at once, that way I'll not be paying that chipping cost.
Sometimes, it is not avoidable however.
